FEDERAL PELL GRANT PROGRAM
The Federal Pell Grant is an entitlement program that grants financial awards to students based on financial need. The amount of the grant depends on a family's financial status (determined by a Federal formula), and the cost and length of attendance at the school.
FEDERAL DIRECT LOAN PROGRAM (FDLP)
The Federal Direct Loan Program is an entitlement program that enables eligible applicants and their parents to obtain student loans to meet their school-related expenses. Federal regulations require that students complete a FAFSA application before applying for a student loan. And, before the loan process is complete, the student must meet with a financial aid coordinator for a loan entrance interview pertaining to the student's rights and responsibilities under the program. The student is also required to meet with a loan coordinator during the last term of attendance for a loan exit interview.
FEDERAL DIRECT SUBSIDIZED STUDENT LOAN (FDSL)
A Federal Direct Subsidized Student Loan is a low-interest loan authorized by the federal government to help pay for a student's educational costs. The in-school interest is paid (subsidized) by the federal government. registration. The School may be able to reduce the out-of-pocket cost to the student based on the provisions of the plan.
